Introduction

I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking a deeper awareness of their past, in order to understand themselves in the present and thrive in the future. My role is to guide you through this healing process. I understand that it can feel overwhelming and that deciding to start therapy can be a daunting process. Searching for the right therapist can be even more frustrating and I believe choosing the right person is pivotal to your personal growth, which is why I want you to feel connected and safe with me.I strive to create trusting relationships with my clients that allow us to work together collaboratively through this process. My approach to therapy is predominately psychodynamic. When working with couples I draw mainly off the Gottman Method. I have strong background in cultural diversity, feminism and my graduate studies focused on LGBTQIA+ affirmative psychotherapy. Choosing a therapist who is an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community can often be a healing experience for clients who struggle to find support from cis-hetero people in their lives. My style is gentle, but direct and with some humor. My professional experience has allowed me to work with a diverse range of people encountering challenges. I typically help clients with relational issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions and trauma. At this time, I primarily work with adults. For clients who are looking for a therapist who understands their cultural experience, I am a latinx therapist who recognizes she passes as white and the privilege that comes with that. If you feel like we may be a good fit, I look forward to hearing from you.
