I believe that all people face challenges in life, and many of those challenges leave us in need of extra support. Through mental health counseling, people can begin the process of healing, empowerment, confidence, connection, strength, and belonging. I have worked with individuals and families across varying backgrounds throughout my career. I have worked in medical clinics, with psychiatric patients, in schools, in the field of addiction, with children and adults who have experienced abuse and neglect, with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, with children who have conduct and behavioral disorders, with couples who are hoping to strengthen their relationship, with parents who are hoping to strengthen their relationships with their children, and with many individuals who deal with anxiety and depression. My aim is to support people through their therapeutic goals by providing trauma-informed, person-centered care. I believe people are the experts on themselves, and thus, I believe it is fundamental for people's own defined goals to be central to the therapeutic process.
