I am committed to providing high-quality psychological care for children, adolescents, young adults and their families. I specialize in providing assessment and intervention services that focus on the relationship between our cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral and physical health. I use an evidence-based treatment approach to promote positive health behaviors. I focus on an optimizing emotional and physical functioning, enhance coping/adjustment, and improvement of overall mood and well-being. I have a special interest in working with children and families facing complex medical challenges, trauma, and those with pediatric chronic pain. In addition to my outpatient work, I work part-time at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital as a staff pediatric psychologist across their medical floors. I was clinically trained in pediatric behavioral health at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. I have contributed to the growing professional literature in both medical and psychology journals. Some of my contributions include co-authoring academic book chapters, peer-reviewed editorials, interviews in the local news/media, professional journal articles (e.g., case studies, scholastic manuals, informative research, etc.), and invited presenter of my clinical work in national and international conferences. Overall, it has been an incredibly rewarding and exciting career doing what I absolutely love.
