Hello & Welcome, I am a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in family practice and psychiatric mental health. As a nurse practitioner, my role involves being an educator, mental health advocate, psychiatric provider, and medication manager. My educational background at Troy University, includes a Bachelor's in Nursing, a Master's in Nursing, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. I also earned my postdoctoral certification in Psychiatric Mental Health at the University of Alabama. A bit about my approach to therapy I am passionate about providing quality evidence-based care. In addition to medication management, my goal is to empower clients to gain insight, develop coping skills, and make positive changes in their lives. I aim to be mindful of each client's unique background and experiences, incorporating culturally relevant interventions as needed. What you can expect from our first session I work best with clients who desire to be open to the possibility of progress. Healing is not linear. I understand the importance of individualized care and will guide you in prioritizing your mental health. I am excited about working with clients who want to grow and understand ways that they can improve their approach to responding to the world despite what the world throws at them. I will manage your expectations and provide a realistic evidence-based outline for care.
