My name is Wallace Robert Ascencio, but most people call me by my middle name "Robert". I earned an Executive Certificate of Psychology from Liberty University, a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration Management from University of Phoenix, a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC), and as of July 2024, I earned my PhD as a Doctor of Psychology from Liberty University. I am also a Marine Corps veteran and former Benton County firefighter. I have worked primarily in community agencies, outpatient clinics, and school settings with children, teens, adults, families, couples, and veterans to treat a wide number of disorders such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and childhood trauma. I practice and specialize in developmental psychology but use multiple modalities such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), motivational interviewing (MI), and acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT) to help treat and manage disorders. I tend to follow a person-centered and strengths-based approach to assist those that I work with in healing and reaching their personal goals. I also enjoy setting a laid-back and comfortable environment for those that have never been in counseling because change takes time!
