Introduction

Ah-ha! My inability to say no to others stems from wanting approval, but is leading to disinterest, resentment, and distrust in my relationships! I got it! My suppressed shame from past experiences has contributed to my inability to relax, chronic pain, and digestive issues, and I have developed fear of movement, and anxiety about my nutrition because I don’t want to make things worse! That’s it! My belief of not being good enough and fear of failure has resulted in passivity and lack of self-advocacy. It is keeping me from advancing in my career goals and achieving what I deserve! EUREKA! Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to discover those light bulb moments. Now- let's get to work! Healing is on the horizon. About me: Hi! I am Dr. Tracy Aneziris. I view therapy as a journey for self-exploration and positive change. In sessions, I work as a teammate and motivator for my clients to reach their goals and improve their quality of life. My success in helping clients comes from gaining a deeper understanding about client experiences, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In addition, I help clients seek awareness about how their emotional experiences impact their biological health and functioning. With kindness, enthusiasm to succeed, and faith in all those with whom I work, I help my clients utilize their strengths to build a personal skill set to live a happier, healthier, and relaxed life. My clinical experiences include extensive work with adults in private practices and pain rehab centers, and with geriatric populations in nursing homes. I also have experience working with children, adolescents, and families in community mental health settings. I have specific training in treating depression, anxiety, chronic pain and illness, grief and loss, first responder stress, adjustment disorders in adults, and disruptive behavior and attention problems in children. In addition to therapy, I provide meditation, hypnosis, and progressive muscle relaxation services, and career guidance. I have conducted several studies and presented findings on couples coping with chronic illnesses, coping skills for chronic pain populations, intimate partner violence in adolescents and young adults, and opioid abuse. I have also presented literature and workshops on compassion fatigue, police psychology, special needs care, animal assisted therapy, adolescents transitioning out of foster care, youth bullying, mental health awareness, and chronic pain. With all clients, I encourage a healthy lifestyle. I often provide education and tools for mindfulness, pain management, sleep hygiene, nutrition, behavioral management, and journaling recommendations based on their individual needs. I look forward to working with you and appreciate your trust in me. I am hoping our collaboration will lead you to meet your goals. Where do you practice? I provide telehealth services in all 40 PSYPACT states. Go to www.psypact.org for more information. Do you take insurance? Although I am an out of network provider at this time, I have partnered with services to help you easily submit superbills after your appointment, allowing me to help you with the process of receiving reimbursement, if you so choose to your use insurance plan. Insurance often comes with limitations related to what diagnosis qualifies for treatment and for how long. I believe that it is up to you and me to decide how long treatment is helpful and productive, how long you need support, and how often you can return after periods in which you are fully independent from therapy. Therapy is for small, medium and large problems. In fact, most of the time it is better to come sooner rather than later. Therapy is also a great place to maintain all the progress you made and review tools that often need revisiting. How does confidentiality work? I have ethical and legal commitments to keep your participation in and what you share in therapy private. There are a few limitations to confidentiality: reports that include a plan and intention to hurt oneself or others, current abuse of a child, elderly, or disabled person, and records being subpoenaed by a judge. If you would like me to consult with another health professional or contact, you may provide written permission with a release of information document form.
