Therapy is a partnership between the therapist and you which allows you to explore in a safe and supportive space whatever issues you may bring. Therapy allows you to expand your understanding of where you have been in life and to envision new possibilities for where you would like to go. To be human is to suffer. What we do with our suffering is a choice we make. It is possible that suffering has provided you the opportunity to reevaluate what you really want out of life and to change stuck patterns of behavior. It is possible that your unconscious potential is calling you to move in a different direction. Working with individuals and couples, my therapy approach is grounded in Jungian thought which takes seriously that there is much more to us than we are consciously aware of. Whatever aspects of ourselves we deny are pushed into unconscious as shadow material which often breaks through in unexpected and disruptive ways. By attending to the material provided by the unconscious through dreams and active imaginations, we learn to embrace the fullest possible expression of ourselves.
