Dr. DenBoer was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. She completed her undergraduate degree at The State University of New York – Brockport (near Rochester) and her graduate degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During her doctoral externship, she trained at The University of Miami’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-CARD). She completed her final predoctoral training through the The University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine at Jackson Memorial’s Behavioral Health Hospital. Dr. DenBoer has been practicing in the Southwest Florida area for over eight years and is affiliated with the Lee Health hospital organization, servicing Gulf Coast, Health Park, Lee Memorial, and Cape Coral hospitals. She is generalist trained, servicing individuals of all ages, but specializes in the psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment/intervention of children, adolescents, and young adults. She is well-known in the community for her comprehensive psychoeducational and neurodevelopmental evaluations, as she has extensive training and expertise in assessing and diagnosing dyslexia, ADHD, and autism. She is a member of numerous county, state, and national professional associations. In her spare time, Dr. DenBoer enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. While she appreciates the warmth and sun that Florida offers, she also enjoys traveling to New York and Michigan to visit with her extended family.
