I wholeheartedly honor and accept both the wonderful and the terrible suffering that comes with the human experience. I often lead with my humanity in session through humor, presence, and the occasional validation of challenging the archaic "blank slate" mentality. I enjoy a good 'care-frontation' and I'm not afraid of shedding a tear while holding the pain of the person across from me. I embrace a creative narrative stance of re-storying and the power of words. I believe in the process of making our emotions tangible through externalization (i.e., verbal personification of artistic expression) and often integrate relational cultural tenets. I place an emphasis on connection, existential meaning, and amplification of silenced voices. I dig deep to better understand the constructs that both serve (and no longer serve) clients in their present state of being. This is conducted through extensive trauma-trained inner child work, an affirming lens for diverse neurotypes and erotically marginalized folks.
