Introduction

I've been a Mental Health Counselor for over 2 decades. I offer brief, solution-focused sessions using a variety of evidenced based approaches. I work with individuals, couples and families of diverse backgrounds, and my goal as an experienced counselor, is to help my clients develop and express their best selves, by empowering them and by providing them with the unique tools, skills or strategies that they may require to excel. I have a Public Health background, which I studied on scholarship from The World Health Organization (WHO). I have a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech, a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, from Argosy University. I am licensed to practice Counseling and Psychotherapy in the state of Florida and I am a National Certified Counselor. I am also a National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Certified Telementalhealth provider. I am a qualified supervisor of counseling interns in the state of Florida, and I developed the "Parenting For Separated & Divorcing Moms & Dads" curriculum (www.parentingfordivorce.com). I also authored over 20 books on a wide variety of subjects. My latest book, "Fulfilled," was published on May 3, 2022 and it is available at major online bookstores. I speak Spanish with advanced fluency.
