Dr. Nina Polyne is a licensed clinical psychologist that treats individuals and couples in the states of California and Pennsylvania. She graduated from Pepperdine University, and has an extensive background of training, including UCLA behavioral medicine, USC hospital, and pre and postdoctoral training at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center and University of Pennsylvania. She is a published expert in sleep health, and provides treatment such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. Further, she has extensive training in evidence based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety and Depression, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Disease. Dr. Polyne has a special interest in treating couples. She was trained in Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy, and continued on to receive training in Emotion Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She enjoys helping couples to explore and heal past hurts, to accomplish goals of communicating and connecting on a much deeper level, in addition to creating a lasting, healthy bond. She helps her couples create a personalized “tool kit” of strategies to assist in managing emotional triggers that are very common for all relationships, in combination with those specific to each distinctive couple.
