We are all in need of some sort of guidance and some sort of direction as we go through this journey called life. My name is Dr. Jafari and I am looking forward to helping you gain the tools that will help you best navigate this journey. My approach when working with clients is a very collaborative one. I will help you identify your strengths as well as areas where improvement and growth are beneficial. I am not here to judge you or critique you. I am here to help you improve your quality of life and to challenge you to excel. We will work through the obstacles and barriers that are hindering that growth by finding ways to break through unhealthy habits and patterns. We will also dig deeper to identify the traumas or experiences that have caused those unhealthy habits and patterns to come into existence in the first place. The goal is to equip you with illuminating knowledge and the confidence to set you on a path of living your best life. Starting the therapeutic process can be intimidating and you may feel hesitant. However, there needs to be a sense of self-encouragement and praise for getting in the “therapeutic door.” I am here to guide you at your speed while simultaneously ensuring that we are making progress. I utilize a few different modalities including but not limited to: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Most importantly, I approach our work from a cultural lens in order to tailor these theories and modalities to you as a person. That way, treatment is very personalized, person-centered, and most effective. Life is about improvement and I am excited to embark on this journey of improvement with you.
