Introduction

I started my career in child welfare and am aware of how many individuals are impacted by issues of abuse and neglect in childhood. I went on to further my education in social work in earning a Master's in Social Work and PhD in Social Work. I have taught at the BSW and MSW levels at several universities over the years. I take education and continuing education opportunities seriously and pursue these ongoing education regularly to stay current and build additional skills to work with my clients. I practice from a strengths perspective and hope to work with clients on helping them identify their own strengths and resilience they have in moving through life. I strive to help all clients to identify healthy solutions to life's challenges. We all face obstacles and sometimes we are more able to manage, and others times we are less able to manage, oftentimes when we experience issues, we need to work towards reframing situations and strategize to find ways to manage stress and build skills to help ourselves. Through sensitive and collaborative goal-setting, we will work to identify the most effective methods in reaching your goals. Feel free to contact me with questions that you may have.
