About Dr. Ellis I am Dr. Michelle Ellis and I am so excited that you've come to visit our website. I hold licenses as a Licensed Professional Counselor (PA), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL), a Qualified Supervisor, and I am recognized as a NBCC Board Certified Counselor. I believe authentic connections are the cornerstone of healing. Thus, I actively incorporate multicultural perspectives into therapeutic settings, with a particular emphasis on addressing the unique needs of racially diverse individuals, couples, and families. Together, we'll foster security, support, and empowerment, while acknowledging and appreciating our differences Our Supervision Approach BeyondMe offers supervision services via individual and group modalities to Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns in Florida. As a Qualified Supervisor, Dr. Ellis aims to provide supervisees with a deeper appreciation for relationship development, therapeutic curiosity, ethical decision making, and multicultural perspectives, all which impact both supervisory and counseling relationships. This is accomplished by providing and overseeing a wide range of supervisory experiences. Such experiences will assist the supervisee in continued development of intervention skill utilization, ethical practice, and the saliency of professional counselor identity. Dr. Ellis utilizes the Multicultural Integrated Supervision Model, which integrates the Integrated Developmental Model and the Multicultural Social Justice Counseling conceptual framework. From this model, Dr. Ellis believes that all interactions are multicultural, the supervisor-supervisee relationship development is paramount, and supervision structure is imperative. Important areas that receive attention in supervision include but are not limited to: (a) counseling skills, (b) personal wellness and self-care, (c) diversity and equity considerations for self and clients, and (d) case conceptualization.
