I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and a Board-Certified and Registered Art Therapist. I hold a Master of Arts degree from Hofstra University in Creative Arts Therapy and a Master of Sciences degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where I earned my Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology. My education and experience allow me to approach therapy through an eclectic framework. I believe our experiences shape how we view ourselves, others, and the world which leads to patterns that are no longer serving us. Gaining insight into these connections can help move us towards change and healing. Informed by evidence-based practice and utilizing theory and techniques from various orientations, I meet you where you are to individualize treatment and best meet your specific needs. Each person is unique, and we will work together to discover what works best for you. I work with clients individually, while incorporating family members and significant others when necessary. Depending on your needs and style, sessions can consist of mainly a talk therapy approach, an art therapy approach, or a mix of both. I find there are times when creative self-expression can be beneficial in discovering new insights while providing a less-threatening vehicle for communication and exploration. I strive to provide an open and safe environment to build a strong connection founded in trust, authenticity, and respect. I bring my real self to the therapeutic relationship – I want you to feel accepted and heard and help you find your inner strength to see you thrive. At the start of COVID-19, the world had to quickly adapt as we navigated the transition into a digital landscape. The pandemic has pushed us to move towards creative ways of offering services and in turn, provided a unique opportunity in making mental health care more convenient and accessible. At this time, all services are conducted virtually through a HIPAA-compliant platform.
