Others describe me as a very empathetic, caring, hard working, and driven clinician that is very passionate about the work I do and the people I serve. I tend to have a trauma informed lens with cases as a number of "little traumas" can also cause lasting impacts on individuals. Overall, I take a client centered approach, meaning that, I am eclectic in my therapeutic style and am able to pull from a variety of theories. Specifically, I tend to look at attachment styles and early relationships as they helped shape our world view, window of tolerance, affect regulation, and interpersonal relationships. In training, I trained at a variety of outpatient and inpatient facilities in order to diversify my training experiences to be ale to serve a diverse population with varying clinical presentations and presenting problems. Some of those populations include veterans, juvenile offenders, adult offenders, adolescents in a low SES high school, children in an outpatient setting w/ varying forms of trauma, children and families in a hospital outpatient setting, adolescents in an intensive outpatient program, and adults of varying ages. I also really enjoy working w/ individuals of varying ages w/ anxiety disorders and am trained in exposure response prevention (ERP), an evidence based treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders. Lastly, I have assisted in various program developments of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) programs for adolescents and adults and utilize it with clients. I have in person appointments available in Sacramento, CA or I have tele-health appointments available. I thoroughly enjoy and have experience in psychological testing of varying age groups and settings. I have conducted psychological testing with children, adolescents, and adults in k-12 schools, juvenile correctional facility, VA, child and adolescent outpatient clinic, adult pre-trial detention center, Kaiser child and family team, & in private practice settings. Referral questions have ranged from psychoeducational (e.g. learning disorders, ADHD, gifted), court ordered assessments for diversion outpatient programs and incompetent to stand trial, personality assessments, comprehensive psychological assessments. If seeking help with testing feels too overwhelming, we do offer sliding scale rates so please ask.
