I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I use well-founded as well as innovative psychotherapeutic strategies including cognitive-behavioral techniques and psychodynamic approaches. As a consultant, I provide consultation and supervision to mental health providers. MY APPROACH As a psychotherapist, I am committed to helping you realize what you most want from life: fulfilling relationships, relief from self-defeating cycles, and self confidence. Working with me brings the clarity, guidance, and support you need to overcome barriers to contentment. My style is candid and astute, coupled with warmth and humor. I listen deeply and creatively so I can offer a new lens and insight to patterns that have been keeping you stuck. I help you maintain motivation and hope, even in the face of challenge. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION I received my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology and Masters degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from the University of Southern California and graduate fellowships at UC Irvine and UC Berkeley. As a Clinical Psychologist at UC Berkeley's Counseling and Psychological Services, I served on the Eating Disorder Treatment Team and developed the Career Counseling Internship Program. My teaching experience includes courses at University of San Francisco, UC Berkeley, and UC Irvine. I am a member of the clinical/supervising faculty at The Psychotherapy Institute and the Wright Institute in Berkeley. While I maintain a general psychotherapy practice, I also specialize in treating, teaching and consulting as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and co-founded the Liberation Eating Disorder Education program and ConnectED Bay Area consortium.
