I am a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the delivery of evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I treat emotion regulation difficulties and post-traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive, sleep, anxiety, mood, and personality disorders for clients ages 13 and above. I currently offer telehealth sessions to clients in NY, NJ, AL, AZ, AR, CO, CT, DE, DC, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, NE, NV, NH, NC, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WY. I am honored to partner with clients to help them build lives worth living. I have been intensively trained in the gold-standard, evidence-based treatments for anxiety and OCD, trauma and PTSD, depression, and suicidal ideation and self-harm behaviors, and my goal is to help clients build specific skills to make significant behavioral changes. However, my training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy means I believe that behavior change alone is insufficient if it does not align with a client's broader values. It is my job to collaborate with my clients to make our work meaningful. I have committed a significant part of my professional life to tailoring evidence-based treatments in a way that is culturally responsive and honors the unique needs and backgrounds of each individual and family. I am proud to welcome clients of all ethnic, gender, sexual, and racial backgrounds to my practice. Before transitioning into private practice, I served as the clinical director of the Adolescent DBT Program at the Montefiore Medical Center Moses Child Outpatient Psychiatry Division, a fully adherent DBT program serving teens and families in the Bronx, and the clinic where DBT was originally adapted for adolescents. In my roles as clinical director and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, I directed the annual intensive foundational training in DBT for all psychology and psychiatry trainees, and frequently taught and supervised graduate students. I continue to provide services through the Montefiore/Einstein faculty practice. I trained under the mentorship of Dr. Shireen Rivzi, an international expert in DBT research and training and a student of Dr. Marsha Linehan, the creator of DBT. I am also intensively trained in Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy for PTSD, the combined DBT-PE protocol, Radically-Open DBT (RO-DBT), and have worked at clinics specializing in DBT, health psychology, and anxiety, OCD, and PTSD treatment. I have published several peer-reviewed journal articles on the dissemination and implementation of Prolonged Exposure for PTSD in community health clinics, through the Center for the Study and Treatment of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. I have also published book chapters and presented at professional conferences. I am an active member of the International Society for the Implementation and Teaching of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (ISITDBT) and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). Experience: Clinical Director of the Adolescent Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program and Attending Psychologist, Montefiore Medical Center Moses Child Outpatient Psychiatry Division Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Albert Einstein College of Medicine Adjunct Professor, Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology Psychology Fellow, Westchester Jewish Community Services Education: PsyD, Clinical Psychology, Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology BA, History and Literature, Harvard University
