Introduction

Hello, I’m Dr. Lenora Ivy (she/her) and I commend you for taking a step in a new direction by visiting this website. Every choice we make is an opportunity to move toward the lives we desire and I would be honored to be a part of your journey. My ideal client is open-minded and ready for change; after all, if we keep doing the same things we will likely yield similar results. Sometimes change can be scary, but my goal is to highlight your personal strengths/interests and support you in identifying and implementing the steps necessary to move you toward your mental health goals and life desires. If you are not sure what your strengths/interests are, that’s okay, we can explore that during our time together. If you decide to connect with me (and I hope you do), our first meeting will be an Intake Evaluation. Before the Intake Evaluation you will be asked to complete intake paperwork via our online client portal. During the Intake Evaluation you will have an opportunity to ask me questions about the therapeutic process and I will ask you questions that will help me begin to determine how to best support you in reaching your goals. After the Intake Evaluation you may schedule Psychotherapy Sessions that will last approximately 50 minutes. During Psychotherapy Sessions we will define your specific therapeutic goals and areas for support, and begin the journey toward helping you find solutions to your concerns, learn healthy coping strategies, and evolve into an elevated version of yourself. I look forward to meeting you! Feel free to text/call or send a message if you have a preferred appointment time that is not currently available on the calendar. Want to know a bit more about me? See my brief professional biography below: Dr. Lenora Ivy (she/her) uses science and creativity to guide clients, age 18+ years, toward healing, knowledge, and empowerment. She views clients holistically, aims to validate clients’ experiences, and helps clients move toward identifying solutions that will allow them to live the lives they desire. The process of healing and change frequently requires clients to step outside of their comfort zones; with that in mind, Dr. Ivy creates safe, nonjudgmental spaces for her clients by respecting their individual journeys, highlighting clients’ personal strengths, incorporating clients’ interests in treatment, and being authentic. Dr. Ivy is a Licensed Psychologist (Texas #37614), Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (Texas #71012), and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She is eligible to provide telepsychology, in any PSYPACT participating state, under the authority of the PSYPACT Commission (E. Passport Mobility #6714). Dr. Ivy received her Bachelor of Science degree from Washington and Lee University and her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Central Arkansas. Creating is an important part of Dr. Ivy's life. She is the founder of a platform (I Value You; ivyoutreach.org) that promotes kindness and positivity, a published author (https://tinyurl.com/drivybooks), the creator of a webcomic series, and enjoys a variety of DIY projects/crafts. She also finds joy in reading, trying new recipes, and spending time with family and friends.
