I am a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist who loves my work supporting kids, teens, young adults, and their families so they can grow and flourish into their best selves--at home, at school, and with others. I approach my work with a strengths-based and culturally-sensitive lens while using evidence-based approaches. I am affirming of neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ individuals in my care. - Therapeutic Services: I see children for therapy starting at age 3+ and have 12+ years of experience working with young children, especially with emotional or behavioral challenges affecting school or childcare. I often work successfully with children, teenagers, and college students with ADHD, Autism/PDA, anxiety, and depression to improve success at school, social skills, and emotional and behavioral regulation. We work collaboratively to reach your goals through varying approaches, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), positive psychology, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play therapy, parent training/coaching, and more. I am licensed through PSYPACT to provide telehealth services in 40 states (please check if you live in a participating state here: https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap). - Psychological, Psychoeducational, and Developmental Evaluations: I conduct neuroaffirming comprehensive evaluations to better understand a child or adolescent's strengths and needs and their impact on school, home, and social functioning. Common referral concerns are questions related to ADHD, Autism (including the PDA profile), learning disabilities (including dyslexia), emotional and behavioral disorders (anxiety, depression), and more. I also have extensive experience and expertise in early childhood evaluations, including social-emotional and behavioral challenges and concerns related to ADHD and Autism (including the ADOS for diagnostic clarification). - Consultative Services: With my 12+ years of experience working for public school systems, including Birth-Five programs, I am highly skilled in understanding the complexities and nuances of the special education/IEP and 504 processes, translating results and recommendations so they are applicable for public and private school settings, and supporting collaboration and communication between families and school teams. I am available to review records and offer insight/recommendations, communicate with school teams on your behalf, and help you advocate for your child. Outside of work, I love being a mom to my two young boys and our rescue puppy, Penny (ask me how she made it on the NBC World News!). I love spending my time on the little league baseball field, hiking new trails with our pup, reading, making the perfect playlist, enjoying the water and beach, and hosting family and friends.
