Introduction

I have over 20 years of experience using CBT. Focusing on changing negative thought patterns and behaviors to improve mental health and overall well-being. I have over 20 years of experience using MI as a counseling approach to help individuals explore and resolve ambivalence about behavior change. Using this approach aims to evoke motivation form within ones self and guide them towards making positive changes. I have over 20 years of experience using Reality Therapy as a therapeutic approach to help individuals take responsibility for their choices and actions in the present moment, with a strong emphasis on meeting basic needs for love and belonging, power, freedom, and fun. I have over 20 years of experience using Solution Focused Brief Therapy as a goal-oriented therapeutic approach that focuses on exploring clients' strengths and resources to create solutions rather than dwelling on problems. As a highly trained clinical and therapist, I have developed a Mental Health Journaling Collection and written several clinical focused books that I enjoy using to help support the clients on their therapy journey and it typically translates to having tools and skills that individuals are able to use in their overall life goals and other pursuits.
