Dr. La Toya L Patterson is a native and current resident of Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Patterson attended Roosevelt University, where she received her BA in Psychology and MA in Clinical Professional Psychology. She has a MA in Forensic Psychology with a concentration in Law Enforcement from Argosy University. Dr. Patterson also received her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Adler University. Dr. Patterson is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), and she is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She has about 12 years of experience working in the mental health/counseling field. Dr. Patterson has worked for various mental health organizations where she provided individual counseling to individuals that suffered from moderate to severe mental health conditions as well as substance abuse/dependency. She also worked for a local insurance company on the Ready Response Team, where she provided resources for individuals experiencing mental health crises. Dr. Patterson is currently an Assistant Professor at Chicago State University, where she teaches master-level students in the CMHC program, and she also has her own private practice in counseling.
