Dr. Handy, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with nearly 18 years of experience in human services and mental health care. She is a graduate of the leading Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) institutions in her academic field which is key to effective individual, couple and family therapy. Her foundation in multicultural studies and her past experience as a domestic violence legal advocate informs her current approach to clinical practice. She has worked with a wide range of individuals from all walks of life. She has also treated a wide range of clinical problems that keep people stuck. Dr. Handy has worked in settings not limited to: couple & family therapy clinic, integrative behavioral health, community mental health and private practice. She has worked with men, women, and children who have survived trauma, along with couples and families relational problems, the transient population, and those with chronic medical problems. With her training and experience, she remains committed to helping individuals, couples, and families live their best life now!
