Sometimes we know we feel bad, but we’re not even sure which emotions we’re feeling. Other times, we’re unhappy with the way things are but don’t know what to change. In therapy, we would form a collaborative partnership where I would help you put words to what you’re feeling, gain insight into yourself, and make positive changes. It can be daunting to seek help, but speaking with a psychologist can lead you to become more independent. By feeling understood and comfortable discussing things you feel unsure about, you may gain a better sense of how you want to live. This process has helped my clients to better communicate with those important to them and feel more confident. Clients often tell me that our work together has led them to know themselves more, treat themselves with greater acceptance and compassion, and more successfully connect with those around them. I carefully tailor my approach to best meet the needs of each client and enjoy working with people from all different backgrounds and orientations.
