When I was 15 years old, I lost my oldest brother to suicide. Less than a year later, my next oldest brother died in a car accident. To cope with the grief, I went to a therapist and, after two sessions, walked away feeling worse and never wanting to return to therapy. Now as a therapist, I don't want my clients to experience that same hopelessness I felt. I work to create a collaborative and feedback-informed environment to support my clients in reaching their goals. Therapy should be a place where you can feel the support you need while having someone who can challenge your perspective and push you toward the desired change. Through my schooling and training, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of clinics, including a primary care physician's office, a children’s behavioral health clinic, grief counseling, and a private practice. My experiences give me a specialty in assisting individuals, couples, and families facing situations that can cause them to feel hopeless. Through my training and research, I have conducted I have additional expertise with high-conflict couples and the systemic treatment of autism. Additionally, I work as a professor of couple and family therapy at the the University of Louisville, where I train and supervise the work of master's level therapists. If you’re interested in scheduling with me, please send an appointment request. You can call my practice or you can reach me at 801-205-0342. Now licensed in Kentucky and Indiana. Ph.D in Couple and Family Therapy: Texas Tech University Doctoral Fellowship in Medical Family Therapy: University of Colorado Level 1 and Level 2 training in the Gottman Couples Method Certificate from Prepare/Enrich Certified Facilitator
