Introduction

Many of my clients have experienced a traumatic event(s) such as sexual, physical, or emotional abuse, or neglect. The last ones can be harder to define because invalidation is a common form of emotional neglect that is hard to label. Despite what the trauma is or if it falls into one of those categories exactly, if it affects you, then it matters. Clients come to me with confusion and emotional pain that I help them sift through and connect with in order to heal and create their new normal version of life - one that they deem worth living. I welcome all clients from all walks of life, spiritual views, races, cultures, genders, orientations, and preferences. Come as you are. We will explore together how you meet your basic needs in relation to your counseling goals. I utilize a variety of techniques to help you meet these goals. Sometimes we may focus on skills building; other times we may focus on trauma processing using various interventions based on my training. I individualize your treatment plan to be realistic and attainable. Life is a journey that unfortunately comes with no handbook. Walking along that journey with you for a short time is a gift that I graciously accept knowing that you will one day not need me. That fact brings me joy and indicates that I have fulfilled my role in your journey. You may not have been in control of your past experiences, but you can overcome your suffering to control your future. I will work hard to help you regain control of your life again and live your life as you want it to be! I offer individual counseling services (55 minutes) for $125/session and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Workshops (3 hrs on specific dates) for $300/workshop with an early bird discount and payment plans available upon request. See workshop dates and more on my website: www.redoaktherapy.com/dbt For individual counseling, I will work along side you to find what approach is best suited for you specifically. I am trained and proficient in EMDR, DBT, mindfulness, and trauma processing approaches. I specialize in treating DID/OSDD/partial DID, PTSD, complex PTSD, and BPD. If I am not taking new clients, you may still contact me stating that you wish to be added to a waitlist to see me; however, I cannot guarantee how long this may be.
