Introduction

My name is Dr. Jessica, and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing in Herndon, Virginia. In 2007, I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from The George Washington University. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families for nearly 20 years in the D.C. area, and now I also provide virtual therapy services to clients in most states. In addition to therapy services for general mental health, I specialty training and experience working with underserved populations including clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, severe anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, ADHD (children and adults), developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, foster/adoption, and parental-guidance services. I understand seeking mental health support can be a scary experience. I offer a non-judgmental, supportive, and safe setting for clients and an individualized treatment approach. No one should have to live with frequently feeling overwhelmed by life's stressors, their thoughts, or their feelings. I work with clients to help them better understand the nature of their difficulties and identify personal areas of strength that can be used to form more adaptive coping skills so they can reach their goals and feel content with themselves and their daily lives. In addition to individual therapy services, I frequently work with parents of children with mental health, behavioral, and developmental difficulties to help provide them with the education and support they need to in-tern provide their children with optimal support. I was an NCAA III Track & Field athlete followed by 13+ years competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and currently teaching ladies classes. My athletic and coaching experiences in addition to my psychological training make me an excellent fit for many athletes working to overcome performance anxiety and manage their mental health needs while being an athlete. I live in Herndon with my husband, daughter, and our rescue dogs. Outside of work and Jiu Jitsu, I enjoy cheering at my daughter's many sporting events, going to amusement parks, and adventure tourism.
