“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” — Carl Rogers Being able to find peace within our lives takes effort and a commitment to making ourselves a priority. We are bombarded with messages telling us to put family and work first, but without self-care our commitments will suffer. My passion is helping my clients understand themselves on a deeper level and be able to engage with their everyday lives in a positive way. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have interests and expertise in helping my clients work through many areas including stress and anxiety, depression, trauma, grief or loss, relationship and sexual concerns, self-esteem, and life transitions. I also have experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples. I see therapy as a process that does not have one prescribed way of working through the topics that arise. We are each unique individuals with different perceptions and experiences. I see these differences as important guides when working with my clients. I use an eclectic approach of evidence based techniques including, mindfulness based activities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing. The need for change is our mind telling us that what we are doing right now is not working anymore. Let’s work together to move in a new direction.
