Dr. Jay Watts is a certified Sexologist specializing in sex counseling and sex coaching. Sex counselors are a recognized profession by AASECT, and as required for notification, Jay DOES NOT PROVIDE PSYCHOTHERAPY but is able to come alongside your mental health and health journey with third-party consent and consult to provide strategies, support, and guidance on your passion, pleasure, and purpose journey. Dr. Watts has extensive experience working an an auxiliary support to fertility clinicians, OB/GYNs, LMFT, mental health clinicians, Pelvic Floor PTs, and more to provide a comprehensive scope of support that includes sex and intimacy. Jay also provides support for families and youth on broaching topics on LGBTQIA+, sex and body education, puberty and menstruation, and fertility and preconception conversations. Jay has a B.S. in Education from the University of Louisville; a Master of Arts in Human Services from Eastern Kentucky University; a Master of Education in Cultural Foundations of Education from Kent State University; and a Ph.D. in Human Services: Mental Health with a focus in Sexuality Studies. Her dissertation was on Appropriated Racial Oppression as moderator of Sexual Shame and Sexual Satisfaction of Black Women in the United States. Dr. Watts has experience working with all types of communities: in particularly, she specializes in communities considered historically excluded and from rural/isolated environments.
