Introduction

Hi, I am Dr. Holly Miller the owner of A Healing Haven, LLC. A Healing Haven was established in 2021 as a safe space for individuals to come process their stories and create healthier lives. Here at A Healing Haven, we make it our priority to be culturally competent, inclusive and knowledgeable as society continues to grow. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate and a National Certified Counselor. I received a bachelor’s degree from Montreat College in Psychology and Human Services, a master’s degree from Montreat College in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have recently graduated with a PhD in Counseling and Psychological Studies with a concentration in Trauma and Crisis. I have trained in a variety of continuing educational courses that include but are not limited to: Trauma Treatment in the community after Disasters, Psychological First Aid, Skills for Psychological Recovery, Emergency Management Institute: FEMA (Active Shooter, Understanding Refugee Experiences and Improving Services, Reflections on Intervention Innovation and Its Legacy 10 Years Later/Remembering Hurricane Katrina Part One) NCTSN: Reducing the Risk of Child Sexual Abuse. As a counselor my goal is to help children, adolescents and adults find balance and self-awareness. All are welcome! During sessions, we become a team. As a counselor, I work with my client, and together we will create a treatment plan that best fits the client's goals and needs. I strive to provide a safe space for individuals, couples, and families having difficulties with life situations. I am person-centered focused and tend to the needs of my clients on an individual basis. As a counselor, I understand that therapeutic techniques are not one-size-fits-all. Therefore, therapies are integrative to support the individual's needs. I am a member of the Professional Honor Society for Professional Counselors, The American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Counseling Association.
