I am Darrell L. Renfro, Ph.D., LPC-S. I hold a doctorate degree in psychology (social research and evaluations) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor. I over 20 years of experience in the social services field. I have been in private practice since 2007. As a psychotherapist, I help clients address a multitude of mental, social, substance use/abuse, addictions, cultural, identity, and behavioral issues. In addition, clients and I address stress/anxiety, depression, anger-related issues, issues with identity, cultural-related issues, addictive behaviors, crisis management, deviant sexual behaviors, and traumatic experiences. I also provide case management services, wellness interventions, professional development workshops, psychological assessments/evaluations, job training, PLPC-clinical supervision, integrative services, and consulting services. My specialized training includes the following: Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Substance Use and Addictive Disorders, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT); Multisystemic Therapy (MST); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Aggression Replacement Training (ART); Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT); EMDR, Second Steps Anti-Violence and Prevention; and Motivational Interviewing. I see therapist-client relations as a partnership. I am solution-focused and understand the basic fundamental concept of working with others for the betterment of the entirety.
