Welcome! Thank you for visiting my page to see if working with me would be a good fit for your therapy journey! I work with children, adults, and families as they go through times of struggle, growth, and restoration by offering evidence-based resources and a Christ-centered approach to those who wish to incorporate their faith in their counseling journey. I am especially focused on trauma work which I believe is an area of vital importance and of great need, especially now as families are facing new challenges across so many different areas of daily life. As a therapist, I partner with my clients to work through life challenges in different areas related to anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief, spirituality, stress, self-esteem, school struggles, peer relationships, parenting challenges, life transitions, family conflict, divorce, behavioral concerns, immigration adjustment, adoption adjustments and many other important life issues. By bringing together the life-giving power of faith and evidence-based resources for counseling, I believe there is hope for true healing and wholeness. I've had wonderful experiences working in group and private practice, the school setting, in early childhood developmental centers, and in community-based grief and loss group programs for children coping with the death of a primary caregiver. From the very start of my career as a counselor, working with children has always been a special calling on my heart. It still amazes me how, through acceptance and playful trust-building, children can feel safe and empowered enough to communicate feelings and understand experiences that they may have otherwise lacked the skills to fully process on their own. I was able to earn my Master’s degree in 2008 from Palm Beach Atlantic, a Christian University which offered a specialization in Biblical foundations for Counseling work, and in 2013, I also completed my Doctor of Education degree from Argosy University, which gave me the opportunity to focus on child development as an area of study. I currently offer telehealth therapy sessions as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. If you would like to take the first step in starting counseling for yourself or your child, schedule a free 15 minute consultation (available on Mondays) by clicking on the "Request Intro Call" button (below the profile picture) and using the calendar to request a day and time. I look forward to meeting you! Self-pay rates through Private Practice: Option 1: Psychotherapy Adults- $140/session Kids up to age 12- $115/session Option 2: Therapy Aftercare/ Life Coaching*- $95/session *For clients who have had at least 24 sessions with me (or about 6 months of services), I’m excited to also offer a Therapy Aftercare Life Coaching option to help you maintain your progress. This would provide continued support to help reinforce and build on the therapeutic gains you’ve achieved during our work together. Compared to therapy, Life Coaching focuses more on goal-setting, personal development, and practical strategies to enhance your overall well-being and success in various areas of your life as a way to help you maintain progress and continue your growth in a supportive, structured environment. This Aftercare option is offered to current and past clients ( including those who have subsequently moved out of Texas or Florida). If this sounds like it could be a good next step, please see OPTION 2 of the Informed Consent form (starting on page 7) which outlines and compares the goals of therapy and life coaching in greater detail.
