Before dedicating myself to a career in mental health, I served in the United States Air Force. That experience offered me insight into a variety of cultures and dynamics. After my enlistment, I continued to gain knowledge by working as a counselor in mental health rehabilitation centers in San Diego. I conducted client advocation, performed crisis interventions, and collaborated with clients towards their goals of overcoming challenging events and experiences. From there, I went on to complete a Master's degree at Alliant International University and recieved Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) training at the Alliant Couple and Family Clinic. I then completed a Doctorate of Psychology degree at Alliant while training as a clinical supervisor and professor. I have also been inspired by my own therapy process. My approach is rooted in EFT, an evidenced-based model for supporting clients with breaking through stuck patterns and fostering deeper connections. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), a technique especially effective for treating trauma. Through all my involvement thus far, I have developed a strong appreciation for the value of a therapeutic space. I look forward to offering this to many individuals, couples, and families who are seeking healing and growth.
