Introduction

Dr. Chrissy Cammarata is a licensed psychologist and board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. She specializes in therapy and assessment of youth and young adults with anxiety and OCD spectrum behaviors. She also has expertise in working with eating disorders for youth and young adults. She has over 15 years experience working with individuals and also enjoys helping caregivers learn to more successfully support their loved ones who are managing complex illnesses, and eating disorders. Her intervention expertise includes: cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Comprehensive Behavior Intervention for Tics/Tourette Syndrome (CBIT), E/RP (exposure and response prevention), Family Based Therapy (FBT), Temperament Based Therapy with Supports (TBT-S), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dr. Cammarata has also worked with young children with disruptive behaviors for more than 20 years. She is a certified PCIT therapist and Within Agency Trainer through PCIT International. Dr. Cammarata earned her B.S. in psychology and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Academy of Eating Disorders (AED), and International OCD Foundation and in addition to completing a fellowship at University of Florida's Center for OCD and Anxiety Related Disorders, she completed additional training through IOCDF's Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI).
