Introduction

Psychology is both a science and an art; I use evidence-based strategies and progress monitoring with the compassion and personal connection essential for therapeutic benefit. I chose my profession because I enjoyed understanding human development and behavior, and helping other people better understand themselves and important people in their life. My focuses are trauma-focused therapy, and the treatment of anxiety and depressive symptoms. Most of my experience has been with children, teens, and young adults. I've been practicing psychology since 2009, and training as a psychologist since 2004. After over a decade of public service as a psychologist, I am excited to offer private psychological services in San Francisco. My specialties are in: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (including Trauma-Focused CBT); Motivational Interviewing; Parenting/Caregiver/Teacher therapy/training services for children and teens with emotional and behavioral difficulties; and Psychological and psychoeducational (educational/learning disability) evaluations.
