Introduction

I am a nationally certified licensed professional counselor servicing the District of Columbia, the Commonwealths of Massachusetts and Virginia. My areas of specialized training are crisis intervention, family systems work, military counseling, and behavior modification with clients diagnosed with comorbid disorders (ex. PTSD and polysubstance dependence). As a former emergency services clinician, I welcome first responders and clients with chronic medical problems. My areas of interests are post-traumatic stress disorder, vicarious traumatization, microaggressions in the workplace, acculturation issues, and personality disorders. For the past 17 years, I have strived to assist clients to achieve mental wellness utilizing strength-based methods. Through assessment of psychosocial and environmental attributes and stressors, clients will receive treatment designed to stabilize mood and enhance overall wellness. My goal is to create a safe space for individuals and families to access mental health services without barriers to treatment.
