Dr. Powers specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with children, adolescents, and adults. She utilizes a strength-based and individualized approach to assess and treat ADHD, anxiety, autism, and other challenges to wellbeing (e.g., parenting children with oppositional behavior, perfectionism, rigidity, life transitions). She provides social skills and parent management training as well as executive functioning coaching to help individuals overcome academic, social, and emotional obstacles to personal growth. Dr. Powers has published numerous articles on brain development and mental health, and, as a faculty member of Weill Cornell Medicine, provides clinical supervision to doctoral students.
