Doug graduated from the University of Iowa with a master’s degree in social work. He has had extensive training in research-based third wave behavioral therapy including ACT, exposure and response therapy, and relational frame therapy. He has studied dialectical behavior therapy, structural family therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with extensive training in ADHD. He primarily works with clients through telehealth from age 13 years old to age 64. Doug was on the board of the Heartland Regional Health Equity Council for five years, where he worked to expand health care through the promotion of the Affordable Care Act for minority and underserved populations. Doug currently sees all clients via a secure online telehealth platform.
