William Shakespeare once said, “we know what we are, but know not what we may be”. As a marriage and family therapist I have worked for over 12 years with children, teens and young adults helping them to see what they may be. I employ a person-centered and solution focused approach. This means that I allow my clients to feel safe and heard while getting to the heart of the matter. As your therapist my goal is to empower you to overcome your personal obstacles to improve your situation, relationships, and feelings towards yourself. I graduated from Argosy University in 2008 with a master’s in clinical counseling and obtained my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California and later in Texas. I can help you to accomplish your goals and find peace through therapy. I have a warm, caring and non-judgemental approach towards my clients and work collaboratively with them to identify what is truly bothering them and creating goals to overcome those obstacles. We will use a variety of techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to play therapy to address patterns that are not working for you. I've worked with hundreds of clients who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, aggression, autism spectrum disorder, and difficult life transitions. I have worked in a variety of settings from hospitals to clinics to homes and schools. I approach each client as a unique individual with their own personal struggles. I will work collaboratively with you to achieve your goals in therapy and in life. I look forward to helping you to see the strengths you possess, achieve the goals you set, and discover what you may be.
