Does the Past keep interfering with your Present? We’d all love to believe that what happened “back then” doesn’t have to affect us in the “here & now.” But all too often, no matter how hard we try to push it back or down or away... it does. Trauma, a difficult childhood, deep loss—they all leave a mark. These difficult and painful experiences change how we feel about ourselves, our relationships, and how we view the world. Unresolved trauma means keeping one foot in the Past, the other in the Present. It's a miserable existence. So, let’s figure out how to make that misery work for you. (It ought to be good for something, right?) Strangely enough, emotional pain can force us to finally take steps toward healing. Too often, we stay stuck in our problems–and therefore our pain–far, far longer than we need to. Maybe it’s too scary to face alone. Maybe you’re already exhausted from dealing with life’s day-to-day struggles. Or maybe you just don’t know what steps to take. Let me help. I have specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, Anxiety Treatment, Christian Counseling (if requested), and Mindfulness approaches. I use gentle humor, compassion, and straightforward problem-solving to help guide the healing process. With over 25 years of experience, I have plenty of training and expertise to draw on.
