This is where I begin. I care about people. A native New Mexican, growing up on a farm/ranch, I gained an early appreciation for life and all its variations. I learned to love nature and especially the abundance of life that surrounded me as a child. I also learned to appreciate the variety within the cultures that make up New Mexico. An appreciation and passion for learning about different cultures and individuals within those cultures served me well as a military wife traveling through most of the United States and living overseas for several years. I knew I wanted to study psychology at the tender age of 18 but life got in the way. In time I went back to school and completed a PhD in clinical psychology. My varied life experiences led me to specializations in trauma and addiction. I bring with me not just knowledge gained in a book but also knowledge gained through living life. I am fortunate to be able to work in a profession that I love and to witness the incredible strength and courage of individuals as they work toward healing and fulfillment. It is amazing what the human spirit can overcome and draw from those challenges wisdom and compassion. Should you choose to begin or continue your journey with me, I will meet you where you're at and work as a guide and partner to achieve the goals you have chosen for yourself.
