Divya Robin, LMHC began her clinical training at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where she was a research assistant- studying anxiety, stress-related behaviors, and multiculturalism. She then went on to earn two Master’s Degrees at Columbia University where she continued to participate in the research community and taught undergraduate psychology courses. She knows that therapy can be a life-changing catalyst for personal transformation, and uses her clinical training, research-background, and lived experiences to support her clients. She is a training clinician, anxiety expert, trauma specialist, and has extensive training in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) the gold-standard treatment for OCD. She tailors treatment to each individual, and draws from various modalities with the goal to help her clients reduce symptoms of anxiety or depression, better understand themselves, sustain healthy coping skills, and improve their interpersonal relationships. Divya is an active mental health advocate and uses her knowledge and passion to destigmatize psychology and mental health in the media and has been featured on ABC, PsychCentral, Well+Good, Goodmorning America, HuffPost, and The Zoe Report.
