Hi I’m Destini a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My hope is that with every client I am able to proved them with a warm, non-judge mental, and safe space for each person to achieve their individual goals and live their best life. Education and Work History: I have been providing counseling services in the Bay Area for over 8 years. I am born and raised in San Francisco. I graduated for California State University, Sacramento’s Counseling Education Masters Program specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. Once I graduated I began working provided wraparound services for children in the foster care system in the Bay Area ages 4+. At that agency I later provided counseling with this children classified under Katie A. Services and adolescents who were classified as CSEC (commercial sexual exploitation of children). After 3 years I began working in Hayward, Ca providing therapy services to those identified as Re-entry and diagnosed with serve mental illness. Raging from major depression to schizophrenia. Since then I have continued to provide community mental health services in San Francisco. Theoretical Framework: Since working in this field for many years I have been able to build the understanding that only doing therapy under one specific framework does not work for everyone. I am eclectic in my approach and utilize a multidisciplinary framework (CBT, Person-Centered, Strength Based, Motivational Interviewing, etc.) for each of my clients. I look at each person and family as an individuals with individual needs. Though I come with a eclectic approach I always started with Person Centered.
