Introduction

What is a heart wound? How do you know if your heart wound is controlling you? Do you want to stop hurting others? Do you want the pain to stop? Do you want the dark cloud over your thinking to go away or decrease anxious thoughts? How can we heal from generational pain and not transmit it to the next generation? How can we create healing in our communities? How can we make good decisions and set boundaries for personal and family growth? These questions fuel and energize me to help others. We all have a story. I desire to hear your story and walk with you on the journey towards healing, hope, faith, and good decision-making. I have extensive history and success working with teens and adults struggling with ADHD, ODD anxiety, and depression. I spend over 15 years providing family counseling, nurturing parenting skills, adolescent counseling, foster care, and adoption and behavior management. I specialized in trauma healing from physical, mental, emotional abuse, generational inherited trauma, racial trauma. Don’t let trauma exposure or experience continue to control your life. There is help. I utilize a balance and customize approach in using the various modalities - Psychotherapy, narrative therapy, Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in training. In 2012, I became a licensed professional counselor (LPC). My journey to effect changes in the world continued in 2013 when I received a Global Trauma Recovery Institute (GTRI) training certificate volunteering in Rwanda, Africa, and, in 2015, Master Trainer for Trauma Healing Institute Certificate Program. Also, I became a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP). "It is a sacred place hearing a client's story, walking along side of them and bearing witness to their pain and resiliency."
