Derek McKay, Ph.D., ABPP-CN

Dr. McKay is a board-certified neuropsychologist who specializes in neuropsychological, psychological, and psychoeducational assessment. Some of this work can be done virtually, but not all. More on the practice includes: • Self-pay practice only (no insurance accepted) • Can produce a "superbill" that you can give to insurance for possible reimbursement • Payment plans offered through CareCredit if interested • Ages seen: 18 to those into their 90s • Wait time to be seen currently 1-2 weeks • Results given within 1-2 weeks • Legal/forensic work not conducted • Referral not needed to be seen • Member of PSYPACT (telehealth in 42 states) • Some services can be done completely virtually • Brain health workshops available • Executive functioning coaching available • Therapy (CBT) available post assessment and depending on case Dr. McKay also teaches full-time at Mercyhurst University, works closely with Veterans at the Erie VAMC, and recently published a book: Welcome to NeuroVoy Industries: New Employee Handbook. He is also a proud sponsor of the Erie Raptors Basketball team and A.N.N.A Shelter events and recently started the Sylvia Rose Memorial Scholarship. This annual scholarship presented by Flagship Neuropsychology in memory of Dr. McKay’s niece, Sylvia Rose Coughlin, who sadly passed away prior to birth. Unfortunately, the current cycle's application is closed but will reopen on 1/2/26.
