Introduction

For the last 14 years I have sat with those at their lowest of lows, dealing with immeasurable pain and turmoil who believed it could not get any better. Their life experiences had taken away the hope of ever finding better, but through their therapeutic journey here many of them were able to find their better. So, whether you are looking for a better mindset, a better self, or a better life, you can find it and we can help. In the last 14 years I have had the honor in watching countless people succeed in finding their better. Let’s find yours together. Being born and raised in Southern California has given me the opportunity to experience many diverse cultures and has given me the honor of working with people of various socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, sexual preferences, gender identities. Here at Mullenix Counseling Services, all are welcome. In my time working in mental health, I have been both a clinician and administrator in a hospital intensive outpatient program as well as community based mental health programs. In the last 14 years I have predominantly worked with adults who were dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, vicarious trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain/illness, various physical disabilities, compassion fatigue, burnout, and more. In the last 5 years, I have focused primarily on helping first responders, healthcare professionals, and caregivers who are dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, vicarious trauma, burnout, compassion fatigue, on the job stressors, depression, and anxiety. Despite working with people in these populations for the last 14 years, the pandemic brought an increased impact to these groups and so I started predominantly focusing my strengths to helping them on their journey through these complex stressors and traumas. So, whether you are a veteran, law enforcement, fire fighter, doctor, nurse, mental health worker, a caregiver of those with complex medical or developmental needs; or are just looking for a genuine, respectful, caring, and straight forward therapist with a strong education and deep professional experience, give us a chance to help.
