Deidre C. Jackson is a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my master's degree in Guidance and Counseling Education from Texas Southern University. I have over 15 years of counseling experience providing services to children, adolescents, men, women, families, couples, and clients within LGBTQ+ communities. I aspire to be a vessel for mental health wellness and awareness, serving those seeking treatment and the broader community. I work with clients who are dealing with difficult life transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, and relational and marriage issues. Additionally, I focus on women's issues as they navigate changes in their roles and the challenges of contemporary society. I am also receiving additional training to provide services for clients managing borderline personality disorders. My treatment approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy; however, I integrate other empirically supported techniques (e.g., mindfulness, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and development of interpersonal skills) to ensure that each client's treatment is individualized to their specific needs. My goal is to work collaboratively with each of my clients to develop coping strategies and a personal toolkit, identifying their strengths to help them confront life's challenges.
