Feeling safe and supported is very important when seeing a counselor. I strive to make that my top priority when working with people. I also incorporate the elements of empathy, self-compassion, and mindfulness within my counseling practice. My focus in counseling is to utilize a strength-based, positive approach to help people face life’s challenges and reach their personal goals. I want to give you an outside perspective and help you gain insight into yourself, empowering you to make positive changes, and feel that life is more manageable and enjoyable. Brene Brown, a shame researcher and author, says it best in that "Owning our stories and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we'll ever do". It takes a great deal of courage to be vulnerable and open about emotions and I feel honored to be a part of that process and journey with you.
