I am a licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist in Ohio. Specializing in couples issues, family, or individual sessions, offering brief, solution focused interventions. My career started with ten years of investigating child sexual abuse. My therapeutic roles have varied, as a community mental health therapist, a school-based therapist, and psychiatric hospital therapist for adults struggling with SPMI and addiction. I finally settled in private practice in 2020. Couples therapy is often aimed at communication issues, infidelity, or lack of intimacy. These issues are not considered a “medical necessity” and may not be covered by insurance. Although one partner may struggle with a mental health diagnosis, this is not the focus in couples therapy, and that is the reason I charge a private fee rate. 50 minute sessions are $125.
