Introduction

Rated in Washingtonian Magazine as one of the area's top individual therapists and top couples therapists, my approach is warmly interactive. With sensitivity and compassion, we will look together and better understand the life challenges with which you are coping as well as to develop a greater insight into the ways you habitually feel, view yourself and relate to others. We will then use this deepened understanding to work towards your personal happiness. Because a good therapeutic fit is so important to ensure a positive outcome for you, I offer an initial 20-minute consultation. It is by video, free and implies no obligation for either of us. Together, we will talk things over to understand something about your situation, get a sense of whether we would work well together and discuss which next steps might be most helpful for you. My past experience includes serving as a faculty member for St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Psychiatric Residency Training Program, an adjunct clinical faculty member for the George Washington University's Doctor of Psychology Program, the training director for the University of the District of Columbia’s Counseling Center and as a counselor in training at George Mason University and James Madison University. My doctorate in clinical psychology was earned at George Washington University. Credentialed by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology , I hold memberships in the Maryland Psychological Association, Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis, Inc. and the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis . I am a licensed psychologist in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia. I also hold the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) in 22 States.
